Information session for applicant’s parents |
Participation as a volunteer of the Information session for applicant’s parents 2018 event. About 100 parents and applicants have visited the event. The role of a student as a volunteer included meeting the guests, distributing flyers, badge sticks and the event sweets, allocate them to the rooms, organizing the venue, assist in presentation, guide the parents to the Learning Resource Center and see-off the guests. The event participation facilitated development of organizational, management, interpersonal and social skills. The activity contributed to the promotion of WIUT and to the development of the university graduate attributes “Global in outlook and engaged in communities, volunteering” and “Social, ethically and environmentally aware” |

WIUT Leader's Way Project |
WIUT Leader’s Way is a project aimed to share with students the different facets of leadership through a series of sessions with leading practitioners from across different fields.
The volunteers actively assisted “WIUT Leader’s Way” project team in the promotion of the events on social media and at university, creation of videos and organization of some of the sessions.
The work done by volunteers contributed to the development of the two graduate attributes:

• Global in outlook and engaged in communities, volunteering

Student Representation Semester 1 Academic Year 2017-2018 |
Student representation at WIUT is performed through a scheme whereby a student is elected through an open vote by peer students to fulfil the role of a Course Representative (CR) in one of the two semesters of an academic year. Course Representatives collect feedback from their peers to share with senior academics through Course Committee Meetings (CCMs). This allows the University to consider improvements and additions to be made to the tools and services offered to students, thereby making a valuable contribution to the overall student experience at WIUT.
The role of the Course Representative contributes to the development of the following WIUT graduate attributes: “Critical and creative thinker”, “Literate and effective communicator”, “Socially, ethically and environmentally aware”.

dedication to the work of the Drama Club |
Participation as a Drama Club member.
It took students five and a half months to prepare a play by Agatha Christie. They met three times a week and each rehearsal lasted approximately 2 hours. Students had to work on their language skills, namely, pronunciation, enunciation and voice projection. In the process of cooperation with each other, they improved their interpersonal skills, creativity, and time management. The product “ Witness for the Prosecution”
was shown on two days for about 450 viewers.
The activity contributed to the development of four WIUT graduate attributes:

Culture Week Runway Show |
Participation as a model in Runway Show which was held on 25th of April 2018 in Westminster International University in Tashkent. More than 350 people visited the event. The Runway show provides students with the opportunity to get to know the latest fashion trends in Uzbekistan and the possibility to participate in the event and go through the modeling experience. Participation in the event enabled the development of interpersonal and social skills such as time management, team working and non-verbal communication. The activity contributed to the development of two WIUT graduate attributes:

Social Department Internship program |
The selection of applicants for a Social Department (SD) internship is carried out by examining motivational letters and conducting interviews with applicants.The student started working when an individual internship program was developed, a convenient work schedule chosen, as well as the criteria for evaluating his/her activities clarified and approved by the Head of SD.
The role of the intern included:
• assistance to the Head and members of SD in the daily activities;
• managing Facebook/Instagram/Telegram page of Social department;
• communication with important partners/organizations via phone;
• communication with alumni and different University departments;
• assistance in organization of the various events dedicated to the holidays/significant dates;
• working with/completion of Database of the WIUT documents
The work done by the intern contributed to the development of three WIUT graduate attributes:
• Literate and effective communicator;
• Global in outlook and engaged in communities;
• Socially, ethically and environmentally aware.

The role of the Course Representative contributes to the development of the following WIUT graduate attributes: “Critical and creative thinker”, “Literate and effective communicator”, “Socially, ethically and environmentally aware”.
Elected Course Representative spent at least 10 hours in training, at least 3 hours collecting and processing student feedback and 1 hour for the actual CCM. Most students demonstrated sustainable and regular commitment to their course representative duties responding to SU Welfare and Education Executive queries as necessary. |

Student Mentoring Program |
Mentors have actively assisted Academic Counsellors during the Orientation week organized for first-year students. Their role included such tasks as meeting the students, holding introductory sessions and helping them prepare social activities for their final day of the orientation week. Apart from that, mentors have been supporting students throughout the year by referring them to appropriate services provided by the university. The work done by mentors contributed to the development of the two graduate attributes.

the outstanding performance in the WIUT Photo/Art Exhibition “Generation of Independence: “My Motherland is my inspiration” |
On 13th November, 2019 performed as the model of the joint WIUT & Republican Specialized School Of Art named after Benkov photo project for the annual WIUT Photo/Art Exhibition within the frame of The Second Tashkent International Biennale 2019 at the Tashkent House of Photography.
Within a month of hard and productive photo sessions, which started on 3rd October, runway rehearsals and performance at the exhibition as a model and a live installation, student completed her work on the highest level. During the project process, the student learnt new techniques, performing skills by presenting the history of national costumes and presented her interest in modelling.
Overall, 23 models were presented on the exhibition photos which were highly evaluated by invited guests from 8 embassies in Uzbekistan, the UoW (University of Westminster, London) delegation, Academy of Art of the Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives of art universities in Tashkent, WIUT partners and other guests.
The activity contributed to the development of three WIUT graduate attributes:

Candidate photographer of the Photo/Art exhibition – “Generation of Independence: My Motherland is my inspiration” |
A student was a candidate photographer for the annual WIUT Photo/Art Exhibition within the frame of The Second Tashkent International Biennale 2019 at the Tashkent House of Photography which was held from 13th to 15th November, 2019.
Student excelled by performing hard work and professionalism during the photo sessions, high level of responsibility, good photography and team working skills. Student prepared photographs while visiting WIUT photo club;
Overall, student performed their ability to work in a team and taking good quality photographs

CIFS Student Mentoring Program |
Student Mentoring Program is aimed at assisting freshmen students who just joined the university. Student mentors are carefully recruited from the high-achieving students of upper levels. Once the mentors are chosen, they are trained and assigned to one of the freshmen groups of students. Mentors actively assist Academic Counsellors during the Orientation week. Their role includes such tasks as meeting the students, holding sessions and helping them prepare social activities for their final day of the orientation week. Apart from that, mentors support students throughout the year by referring them to appropriate services provided by the university. Lockdown Unlocks Creativity Contest |
The awardee participated in the WIUT creative contest of Lockdown Unlocks Creativity dedicated to the Uzbekistan Youth Day, which was conducted during the summer break and the global quarantine period. The contest was held on the online platform Telegram, where the amount of participants gained nearly 100 people and 600 subscribers. The participants competed in such nominations as The Best Photography, The Best Artwork, The Best Vocal, The Best Instrumental Performance, The Best Acting Performance and The Best Video. The participants' talents impressed all the contest viewers and were highly evaluated by them.

WIUT UNITE Community |
The student is awarded for being an active participant of one of the WIUT social clubs - WIUT UNITE in 2018-2019 academic year. The result of the club’s activity is the promotion of cultural diversity inside the walls of the university through the organization of specific cultural events, support of the international students in academic and social spheres, and promotion of the equality principles between international students and regional ones through the various attributable media platforms.
Any WIUT student who becomes a member of this club contributes in the promotion of cultural diversity. The participant of the club demonstrated passion for the engagement of international students into the social life, their encouragement during the studies at the university, assistance in the organization of specific cultural events and promotion of the principles of the club. WIUT UNITE Community’s participants were actively involved in the presentation of the club at the Clubs’ Day, organization of WIUT UNITE’s Opening Session, Global Table Games event, preparation of promotional and interactive media materials and assistance in other attributable activities of the club. The student was actively cooperating with the university administration and highly contributed to the development of WIUT social life.
The awardee demonstrated creativity, great communication, time management and team working skills.
