2826 13/10/2018 Uzbek Civil Law (Part I. General Provisions) The course consisted of 12 teaching weeks (3 hours of a lecture coupled with seminar each week). The student successfully passed the required assessment tasks (exam and in-class test). The following topics were covered during the course: principles of Uzbek Civil Law and civil legal relations, subjects and objects of Civil Law, Civil Law deals, time limits in Civil Law, property law, means of property rights protection, execution of obligations, Civil Law liability, agreement in Civil Law, conclusion and termination of a Civil Law agreement. During the course the student could successfully develop the following skills: legal reasoning, legal writing as well as critical and creative thinking. Language of instruction: Russian. Duration: from October 13, 2018 to January 26, 2019.
3793 12/10/2018 Uzbek Business Law course The course consisted of 12 teaching weeks (1 hour and 30 minutes of a lecture and 1 hour 30 minutes of a seminar each week). The following topics were covered during the course: limited liability companies, joint stock companies, private enterprises, individual entrepreneurs, insolvency, taxation law, licensing, competition law and anti-trust regulations, banking services and foreign currency operations, protection of the rights and interests of entrepreneurs (Uzbek courts system, local and international arbitration) as well as types of business contracts. The course was aimed at enhancing the following skills of the student: legal reasoning, critical thinking as well as literate and effective communicator. Language of instruction: Russian.
